Since 1889 three generations of
the Beldam Family have owned and developed our group through the major
changes of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and into the new
millennium. However change has been our ally, new materials, new methods
and new technology have been introduced at a quickening pace.
Over the past 116 years we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge
on the manufacture and selection of seals, jointings and packings.
Practical experience with thousands of different applications has
been augmented by much experimental work. As a result we can offer
an ever more comprehensive selection of seals jointings and packings
for the marine and industrial engineer.
Much of our growth is due to the continuing support of our Customers
worldwide and to the wonderful loyalty of our long-serving staff.
The above statement was written by Mr Robert G Beldam CBE who died
on 24th November 2003, in his 90th year.
The new Chairman is Mr Richard Wright, a cousin of the late Mr Beldam.
The new Managing Director is Mr Larry Larsen,
our former Assistant Managing Director.
We acknowledge the great contribution that Mr Beldam made to the group
and will endeavour to uphold his values and traditions.
